Christmas!

We were in Le Mars at Gramma & Grampa's on the farm for most of Christmas week. It was busy, busy, busy most of the time, but we still managed to get our naps in.
We had movie night where we watched the Polar Express, Gramma got us matching pj's and we had hot chocolate! It was fun...but we didn't get any pictures :(
On Christmas Eve, the non-nappers went to church, then we had a BIG Christmas dinner with turkey, Great Gramma's stuffing, sweet potatoes, corn and lots more good stuff! We had pie later after we opened presents.

The little girls had matching pj's too, but they didn't sit still long enough to get a picture!

A princess castle for Kalia and a train set for me!

Since we didn't have our stocking, Santa put our stuff on the tree!

Happy Birthday to ME!

We celebrated my birthday in Le Mars at Gramma & Papa's. Gramma made a birthday dinner for me and I had an ice cream cake with penguins on it! Great Gramma Ryan also came to celebrate with me!

Beckett Is 5 Years Old!

Beckett turned 5 years old on December 22nd!

Here's what's going on with him...

• He's still an early bird...likes to wake up between 6:30-7am every day. Takes an afternoon nap and goes to bed between 8-8:30.
• He continues to be a picky eater, but eating different foods at school has broadened his selection some. His favorite right now is cheese nachos. He still loves all fruit, is a huge milk drinker and thinks he needs a dessert after every meal. Somehow, he never has a problem trying new desserts. 
• He is very smart (at least we think so). He loves to learn and absorbs everything these days. He loves it when he can recognize words and read them to us.

• He LOVES animals, but his favorite is penguins. He loves to draw them, watch shows about them and even has a stuffed penguin named Piper.
• He still loves his cars, trucks and trains. He has a ton of them, but continues to play with them all.
• He LOVES to watch sports, especially with his Dad. Baseball and football are his favorite and he could name almost every team in the MLB & NFL. We watched A LOT of Royals this year and he continues (almost weekly) to ask when they will be playing again. He doesn't quite get what "off season" means.

A Visit with Great Gramma

While in Le Mars, we went to visit Great Gramma Helen. When we got there they were all just starting their exercises. Kalia and I saw all the beach balls and our eyes got huge! They asked us to join in and we had SO much fun!!

Gramma wanted her nail polish taken off and her nails re-painted so Mommy helped her while we played. 

Great Gramma was telling me secrets!
