So we got a little behind on our posts... Most of February was spent trying to get healthy or stay healthy. We didn't get many pictures taken, but here's what was camera-worthy:
Kalia is learning fast what the phone is and that it has pictures on it for her to look at. She also loves watching videos of her and me.
There were a few snow days where we got to stay home with Daddy. Mom usually worked from home but we were told not to bother her. (I didn't always remember this.)
Snow days usually meant jammy days for everyone. I like jammy days!
Why not spend a snow day doing activities from the movie Frozen?
This is Olaf...He LOVES warm hugs and I LOVE him!!
Watching the snow fall down...
Here's Dad shoveling round 1. I think he did 3 rounds on this day. We got about 8-10 inches. I was disappointed that we couldn't make a snowman, but Dad said it was too FREEZING out, especially for Kalia.
This was when it finally stopped snowing...
Kalia practiced a little with a sippy cup.
We also had Kalia's baby dedication at church this month.
Her dedication verse was...
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." -Jeremiah 29:11
Playing around at home later that day...
Auntie Megan came over to visit us. It had been a while since we had seen her. We had a good time hanging out.
I had ear surgery on Valentine's Day - here I am in the recovery room. It was to remove the tubes in my ears and patch up the holes they left behind. Everything went well, but I have to keep my ears dry for the next month. Dad says that will be a challenge since I start swimming lessons in a couple weeks!
Kalia has ESPECIALLY been keeping us all on our toes this past month! The most exciting news is that she's walking! YES, I said WALKING! She's a busy girl and needs to get places, so she uses her feet to get there. Funny thing is, she practices so much on her own without us prompting her! Most recently she gets upset at herself for falling and we hear a little whining. She just wants to walk so badly! You know, it's hard keeping up with big brother!!
This video was taken January 18th...some of her first steps on her own!
This was January 30th, nearly 2 weeks later. They learn fast, don't they?!!
She's also been keeping us on our toes with illness. We've just had horrible luck this winter with both kiddos getting sick! It was around New Year's that she had an ear infection and diagnosed with RSV. So she had breathing treatments 4-6 times a day for a couple weeks. Then 2 weeks ago, she ran a really high fever that just wouldn't go down, so we paid a visit to the ER with a 105°temp (because it happened after hours on a Friday night, of course). It took them a while, but they finally got the temp down. After a few tests that all came back negative, they couldn't find a reason behind it all. She had a little bit of a fever a couple more times that weekend, but has been fever-free since then. Thankfully our little baby girl is now happy & healthy!
Now we have a party to plan because this baby girl is going to be ONE next month!!
