Christmas in Nebraska

We just got back from Christmas in Nebraska!
Here I am in my Big Boy car seat!! I get to face forward now and see Mommy and Daddy!!

On Thursday Gramma Jean had made me a birthday cake since they couldn't be here for my party. It was a really cool train!! My cousins Sophia, Amelia and Molly were also there to celebrate with me.

This is me on Christmas morning... looking at the lights on the tree...
Watching SportsCenter with Daddy...

On Christmas day we got a visit from Santa Claus.
I wasn't very happy as it was past my naptime.
Once I saw Sophia and Amelia talk to Santa, I was a little more curious about him.
Hangin' out with cousins TJ and Luke

I got a really cool tunnel from Mommy and Daddy for Xmas!
I hope everyone else had a GREAT Christmas like I did!!!

Winter ONE-derland

I had my First Birthday party last weekend! It was soooo much fun! There were lots of people that came over to play including Jett, Carson, Cole, Fletcher, Harper, Ethan and Brendan. Gramma and Grampa came from Iowa too!

Here I am all ready for my party! I'm sooo excited!!
 My birthday shirt
 The back of my shirt
The 12 months of Beckett banner!
 My Winter ONE-derland!!
Opening presents... I had fun with the tissue paper!
Carson is showing me how to work my new toy
 More toys!!! Yeah!
What a cool cake!!
I had a cake all to myself!
"Happy Birthday to me!"
I kept reaching for the candle...
I started picking off the frosting and setting it to the side...
Then it made it's way to my mouth...
Mommy pushed my hand in and showed me there was cake underneath.
Then I went to town!! It was soooo GOOD!!
 All done!
In all, it was very exciting! I was a very good boy throughout the day! I took an extra long nap in the morning which was good because I didn't take one at all that afternoon!
Oh, and Daddy made a video to show everyone...

11 1/2 Months

Happy Holidays! We've been busy getting ready for Christmas AND my 1st Birthday, but here's what I've been up to lately...

I had more visitors recently! Gramma Jean and Grampa Larry came to visit. We played a lot and watched the Huskers, though I didn't watch much of it because it was my bedtime.

We went to Le Mars for Thanksgiving. We went up the night before - it was kind-of a long drive. I got bored sitting in the dark. Good thing we brought my Baby Einstein videos as that kept me busy for a couple hours.
I love to play peek-a-boo!!
We went to Great Gramma Ryan's for turkey day. There were lots of people there! I think Mommy said almost 40 people!
Playing with Aunt Molly... I had fun with her old legos!
The next day Gramma and Grampa hosted Husker game day out at the farm. Then on Saturday, I watched Mommy, Daddy and Aunt Molly in a charity volleyball tournament.
Grampa let me help him with his book work
I also visited Great Gramma Helen.

I'm now walking about 95% of the time. I am much better at balancing and I'm taking less tumbles too. Mommy says she'll post a video as soon as she can get a good one.

11 Months

Last month was filled with all kinds of fun! The biggest news is that I'm now walking! Sometimes I realize that I can get there much faster by crawling, but most of the time I'm walking. I have found that learning to walk is kinda hard. I've fallen many times and hurt myself. A few weeks ago I fell against the door and hit my cheekbone. I had a black eye for almost a week. I fell again last weekend and hit my lip on a toy. It bled and I had a fat lip the rest of the day. I'm getting better at walking now. I'm also getting to be really independent - I don't like to be held for a long time. I like to be free to roam on my own! Because of this, Daddy and Mommy have had to put a gate up at the top of the steps. Sadie doesn't like it much, but I sure like to walk along it. I love to hear my voice... I like to say "Da da da" and "Mom". I laugh a lot, play peek-a-boo and clap. I also put my arms in the air when you say "Touchdown!" I still eat babyfood but I'm eating more of Mommy and Daddy's food. My favorite lately has been blueberry muffins. Yum!

Aunt Molly came to stay with me for 5 days last month.
We had lots of fun! We played piggyback and read books.
She carved my pumpkin and went to a Halloween party with us.
Daddy and I dressed up as crazy Nebraska fans.
They had just beat Missouri that day, so Daddy had to rub it in.
On Halloween, I dressed as a monkey and helped Daddy pass out candy.
My costume got really hot, so Mommy put my pumpkin pj's on. I was much happier after that.

Last weekend, Gramma and Uncle Marc came to visit.
Gramma brought me a rocking chair that Mommy had when she was little.
Cheering on the Huskers!
