9-10 Months

Well, I'm a little behind on my entries here... seems I've been so busy the last couple months! We went to Nebraska over Labor Day weekend to visit Gramma and Grampa Andreasen. They got to babysit me while Mommy and Daddy went to the NE football game. They said someday I'll get to go too!

Later in the month, Mommy and I went to Le Mars for an extended weekend. Mommy was there for work for a couple days so she brought me along while Gramma and Grampa Ryan watched me. THEN, just last weekend, I took my first plane ride to San Antonio! Mommy's cousin got married so we stayed a couple extra days and checked out the town! I was really good on the plane. I took my nap when I was supposed to, then entertained the people around me for a bit.

Dollar dance with the bride!
Mommy and Daddy can't believe how big I'm getting! I'm crawling really fast now and even took my first 3 steps by myself last week! I get pretty daring moving and cruising around and have even taken a few stumbles, but it doesn't hurt for long. I almost have 4 teeth now! The top 2 are about half way through. I'm eating more solid foods now, and even some table food. I definitely like fruits more than veggies and I LOVE baby yogurt and cheese puffs! I like to be very vocal and most often you'll hear me say "Da da da da da"! Sometimes I say "De de" which Mommy and Daddy think means "Sadie". I'm waving (sometimes with both hands) and clapping now too!

A few weeks ago, we went to a pumpkin patch with our church group where I got my first pumpkin. I got to see some chickens, pigs and lambs, and even went on a hayride! I had fun, but didn't understand why I couldn't pet the lamb like I do Sadie!

8 Months

I've been becoming such a big boy lately! I'm cruising around the house all the time now... crawling everywhere on the floor, walking along all the furniture and whatever else I can get into. I love to play with my entertainment and activity centers or really, anything that has buttons I can push and makes noise. I LOVE to play with Mommy and Daddy's phones and remotes and they like to take them away from me. I have my own now, they're bright and colorful, but not shiney like theirs. We've taken a few more trips to the neighborhood pool this month and I'm geting used to going under water. I have 2 teeth now. Daddy thought that was good timing since now he's back at school and not home with me everyday. He was good to get back and I'm glad to be back at the sitter's. We took a family vacation earlier this month to Branson. All of Mommy's family was there. I was a really good boy the whole time! We stayed in a suite where I got a bath in this really huge tub! All the kids from daycare could've fit in there! When we went out to eat I got to sit in a big chair next to Mommy and Daddy. We went to a place called Silver Doller City where there were all kinds of people there to watch! I fell asleep after a while. It was REALLY hot there so Gramma and Grampa took me back to the hotel while Mommy, Daddy, Aunt Molly and Uncle J went on the roller coasters. We went to a couple of shows too... I got to see my first Beatles tribute band! It was fun, but I fell asleep after a while. I think it was past my bedtime.

7 Months

I've had a VERY active 7th month! I learned to crawl while in Columbus over 4th of July weekend, so I've been busy exploring. I have also been pulling myself up on furniture the last 2 weeks. And, just in the last week, I started walking along the furniture, while also learning how to pull myself up in my crib! Yikes! Now Mommy and Daddy REALLY have to keep a close eye on me! They've been baby-proofing the house in between the trips we've been taking. As I said, we went to Columbus to watch fireworks and see all my cousins over the 4th. Aunt Joni brought me a really cool toy that lights up and plays music when you push the buttons. It's one of my favorites now! Last weeked we were in IA and MN for a family reunion on my Mommy's side. I got another boat ride and went swimming in the lake with Gramma. Grampa gave me my first tractor ride on the farm too! I took the steering wheel and was ready to go!
I'm becoming a good eater. I still LOVE my sweet potatoes, but also like applesauce, pears, peaches, peas and carrots. I eat all kinds of rice cereal and oatmeal and still take the bottle with Mommy's milk. Mommy says she's ready to be done, but is holding out so she doesn't have to pay for formula.  We're also starting to work on the sippy cup. Oh, and my first tooth finally broke through! Yay!

6 Months

Can you believe, I'm 6 months old already?!! I'm learning all kinds of new things now. Not only am I rolling all over the floor, I am also getting up on all fours! I haven't quite crawled yet, but I like to rock back and forth. That first step will be here before you know it! I can also sit up pretty good on my own. I still love to put my feet in my mouth, along with anything else I can get ahold of. No teeth yet, but I chew on everything that gets close to my mouth! I'm eating more solid foods now and holding the bottle all by myself. I get to sit in my big boy booster seat when I eat. Mommy's been making all my baby food. I LOVE my sweet potatoes and recently started eating bananas. They're tasty too!

I recently went to my first Royals game! I was a VERY good boy! The weather was perfect and I had a great time looking all around! Mommy and Daddy had a good time too! I've also been to the neighborhood pool a couple times. I was a little confused at first then figured out that it's a great big bathtub! How fun!

Mommy and Daddy recently celebrated their 10 year anniversary. They went on a short trip to St. Louis while Gramma and Grandpa Andreasen came to stay with me. I know they really missed me 'cause I got tons of hugs and kisses when they got back! Apparently, Sadie was harder to take care of than I was! Gramma Ryan also came to stay with me for a few days last week. Then, both my Gramma's and Grandpa's were here last weekend to see my baby dedication at church. Whew! It's been a busy few weeks!
