Mom & Dad's Special Weekend

Dad surprised Mom with a special weekend in Lincoln. They were celebrating their 14th wedding anniversary, but their 15th anniversary of when they became engaged in Lincoln. When they got to town, he first surprised her with a pedicure. They then traveled downtown to The Cornhusker, where they would be staying that night. Dinner was at a place called Lazlo's (they used to dine here back in college) in the Haymarket area. After dinner, they went to a Ben Folds acoustic concert at an outdoor arena. Believe it or not, Ben Folds even walked right past their car that afternoon when they were stopped at a traffic light!! CRAZY!!
Here's a tiny video from the concert:

The next day Dad took her to Sunken Gardens. This is where he proposed to her 15 years ago. Though the flowers weren't bloomed as much as they were hoping, they were still able to get some good pictures.

A little re-enactment

May 2014

At the beginning of the month, we traveled to Gramma & Papa's on the farm for the weekend. We celebrated cousin Emma's 1st birthday, but also made a trip to my favorite place - the castle park (Cleveland Park)!
I had a lot of fun playing on the swings & slides.
We also found the brick that has Mommy's family's name on it.
 Kalia wears piggy tails!
Kalia plays & makes silly faces
Enjoying the outdoors with a bomb pop...
...and pretending it's a sword
Kalia LOVES being in her playhouse!
She also found these chairs and LOVES sitting in them!
It took a lot of convincing to get her out!
The last weeks of school we took a field trip to the zoo
and had a water day in the backyard.
They were both lots and lots of fun!
Kalia liked playing with the toys since the boys were too occupied to take them away from her
Until she found the water - then she splashed and splashed and splashed!

Memorial Day Weekend in Columbus

We spent Memorial Day weekend with Gramma & Papa on the lake. The water was a little chilly yet to go swimming (though my cousin Molly & her friend jumped in), but we made up for it in boat rides - and Daddy let me drive too!

We went to Uncle Ken's restaurant to eat. There was a balloon artist there that made Kalia a ladybug, Molly a turtle bracelet and me a duck!
Papa & Dad took me out to play golf with my new clubs & Molly helped Papa with his putting.

I got up early every morning to feed the fish under Papa's dock!
Dad & Mom took me to a car show that was at a nearby park.
This one looks like Papa's on the farm, only I noticed right away that the wheels are different and the stripe is missing.

A little sand time...
A LOT of boat time!
Kalia LOVED going fast and Beckett LOVED going slow (so he could look for fish, turtles & ducks)
Dad, enough with the camera! HaHa!
