Mr. Stinky Feet's Christmas Program

Daddy & Mommy brought me to the Mr. Stinky Feet Christmas show this week (sponsored by the Library). He's an award-winning children's entertainer who sings silly songs and performs all over Kansas City. You can see more here: http://www.jimcosgrove.com/index.html. It took me a little while to get warmed up (I was really shy), but later on I started clapping and dancing to the music. Here are a few pictures from the show. (It was held at the skating rink so the pictures are kinda blurry- sorry!)
(BTW-Mommy's last night as a blond, she's now a brunette!)
We went up front and played with the shakers (maracas) on the last song!

23 Months already!

Whew! The last month just flew by! I just realized that it's time for another entry!
It's hard for me to even recall what I did the last month!
Well, first of all, I had my 6 month check-up on the tubes in my ears. I passed with flying colors! I haven't had an ear infection since April and hope to make it through the winter without one. Daddy and Mommy are very thankful for them!

Gramma Jean and Grampa Larry came to visit a few weeks ago. They stopped for a couple days on their way back from Branson. We had fun playing and watching the Nebraska game. Oh, and I said my letters for them many, many times! I also got my 2-year pictures taken while they were here. It's a little early yet, but Mommy wanted to get them done for holiday cards and before it got too cold outside. Mommy & Daddy's friend Jeni took them. She takes fantastic pics! You'll see more of mine later, but you can see the rest of Jeni's awesome-ness here: http://www.aohphotography.com/.
Here's one I took with Gramma and Papa...

We spent 4 days over Thanksgiving in Columbus with the Andreasen's. I'm finally big enough to play with my cousins - and spent a lot of time doing so!
Here we all are: TJ, Me, Molly, Amelia, Sophia and Luke.
Gramma had to show me the pics she took.
I love looking at them on the camera.
I wasn't too excited about eating the Thanksgiving meal,
so I got chicken fingers and fries instead.
TJ became my buddy and I LOVED that he let me play on his ipad!

Then everyone else joined in too!

I also got to help him play cards.
I found plenty of cars and trucks to play with!
Fortunately, the weather on Thanksgiving Day was really nice, so we got to spend some time playing outside and watching the ducks.

Amelia and I visited the ducks the next day too while the mommies went out shopping.

There were lots that came to visit that day!
Of course we did have some bread to feed them!

We watched the movie Babe, which is my favorite right now.
I LOVE watching all the animals!

We also made cupcakes and celebrated Amelia's 3rd birthday while in Columbus.
Happy Birthday Amelia!!
We left early Sunday morning to meet my other Gramma and Papa (Ryan) who were in Lincoln for the weekend to attend the NE/IA game. We had lunch at Runza and a quick visit before we headed back on the road. Thanks to Gramma, this is what Mommy and Daddy had to listen to for the 1st 20 minutes of the drive:

Then I took a nap...

We've been getting ready for Christmas here at our house.
Mommy's got the Christmas music out, the tree and decorations are up...
and I've been watching a few of the traditional Christmas TV shows...
with many more to come I'm sure!

Halloween... and some randoms at 22 Months

Here's me on Halloween:

Moooooo!!
We only went trick-or-treating to a few houses. The first one, I got mad because I couldn't go inside. The 2nd one, I just walked inside, but Mommy had to hold me back. And well, at the 3rd Mommy just held me so I wouldn't walk in. Then we went back to my house where Daddy was handing out candy. I just hung out in the front yard, ran around and played with the pumpkins. I guess you could say I was just grazing. :) I had a good time as I LOVE being outside and the weather couldn't have been more perfect!
Other things I'm doing at 22 Months:
My biggest obsession is still my letters and numbers. I can fully say the alphabet (but sometimes I like to leave some letters out) and counting to 10 is easy peasy for me! The video above was taken a few weeks ago. I'm a little better now. The funniest part is when I say "R", I give it a full pirate effect and say "ARRR!" in a deep growly voice!
I love to listen to my fridge DJ radio. You can find me playing the alphabet song over and over again.
  • I haven't been eating the best lately. Mommy and Daddy weren't sure why until they recently noticed that I have 3 teeth coming in right now! Wowser!!
  • My vocabulary isn't the greatest, but it's getting better every day.
  •  I'm also obsessed with shoes! Some may think I get that from Mommy, but it's mostly because I know when you put my shoes on that means we're going outside. One morning while Daddy was getting out of the shower, he found that I brought about 6 pairs of shoes in the bathroom for him!
  • I've been working on using the potty chair lately. I sometimes will go in the potty before my bath (the running water helps!). I've gone 2 times now on my OWN prompt, by telling Mommy and Daddy!! I think I might go on the potty more if they would remember to ask me more often. Guess we'll ALL have to work on the potty thing!
We've been busy cheering on the Huskers...even though sometimes it's been unbearable!

My first Happy Meal! YUM!!

Visit from Gramma and Aunt Molly

Daddy had parent-teacher conferences last week. Aunt Molly once again came to babysit me so Mommy didn't have to take time off work. She couldn't be here the whole week so Gramma came at the beginning, then they traded. I had lots of fun with them and of course, I got spoiled rotten!! The weather was perfect and we spent lots and lots of time outside. Gramma took me for a stroller ride every day and we went to the park.

They read stories to me...

Molly also took me to storytime at the library.
 Chasing bubbles!

We all went to the Red Barn Farm in Weston. We didn't stay too long 'cause it got pretty chilly when the sun went down. Not before I got to see the animals though...

Oh, and we carved lots of pumpkins too! Molly's working hard on this one...
 The finished jack-o-lanterns!

Getting a bite to eat before Molly heads back home to IA City.
